Lucknow. Ashish Mishra alias Monu, the main accused in the killing of eight people, including four farmers and a journalist, may be released on Monday in Lakhimpur Kheri after the violence in Tikunia on October 3. Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra alias Teni, is lodged in the Lakhimpur Kheri jail along with his companions for nearly four months.
Ashish Mishra alias Monu, son of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni, MP from Lakhimpur, was granted bail by the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court on February 10 in the Lakhimpur Kheri Tikuniya case. Ashish Mishra could not be released due to a clerical error in the bail order. After this, the lawyers of Ashish Mishra had filed an application for amendment in the bail order on Friday.
On Monday, the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court has issued a revised bail order. For which Ashish Mishra’s lawyer has left for Lakhimpur Kheri. Monu will be released today as soon as the Lakhimpur Kheri Jail Administration gets the release order. Two sections could not be included in Monu’s bail order due to clerical error. Now after the issuance of the revised order, the minister’s son will be released from jail after four months.
Ashish Mishra, son of Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra, got bail from the High Court on Thursday in the Lakhimpur violence case. This order was given by a single bench of Justice Rajiv Singh. Earlier, the sections of murder and conspiracy were not mentioned on the bail order. Section 302 and 120B were not mentioned in the bail order. Ashish Mishra’s lawyers had to apply to modify the bail order.
