Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh, which has the largest population as well as the largest number of MPs in the country, has its foundation day today i.e. on January 24. Uttar Pradesh got its name as a state in 1950. Uttar Pradesh Day is celebrated on 24 January since 2018 on the initiative of former Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued a video message on Monday, congratulating the people of the state on the 73rd foundation day of the state.
The state of Uttar Pradesh is celebrating its 73rd foundation day today. 24 January is celebrated in Uttar Pradesh as the state’s foundation day since 2018. State’s foundation day is being celebrated following the model election code. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has congratulated the people of the state on the occasion of Uttar Pradesh Foundation Day. On this occasion, Yogi Adityanath tweeted that the symbol of faith of the country, full of abundant resources and youthful energy, Uttar Pradesh has set out on a new journey. Yogi Adityanath said that today Uttar Pradesh is second in the country in the ease of doing business. At the same time, he is playing a leading role in about 50 schemes of the Central Government. The economy of Uttar Pradesh is now second in the country.
CM Yogi Adityanath released a video message on the foundation day of Uttar Pradesh. He said that today UP is many times safer than before. In five years, BJP has tried to change many things in UP. In this long journey of 73 years, UP has seen many ups and downs. UP has made a lot of progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. UP is the faith of the country, it is the heart of the people. This state is full of youth’s enthusiasm. He said that new India is the new Uttar Pradesh. All this has happened only because of the people of Uttar Pradesh. I thank everyone.
A look at Uttar Pradesh
- Uttar Pradesh is the most populous state of the country.
- Uttar Pradesh was renamed in 1950. Earlier this state was known as United Provinces
- UP was under the Bengal Presidency till 1834. The first three presidencies were Bengal, Bombay and Madras. After this the need for the formation of a fourth Presidency was felt, which was followed by the formation of the Fourth Presidency. Which is known as Agra Presidency.
- In 1858, Lord Canning moved to Allahabad ie Prayagraj. After which the Western Province was formed.
- After the first election to the Legislative Council in 1920, the council was formed in Lucknow. By 1935 the entire office was shifted to Lucknow. Lucknow province became the capital of the state.
- In the year 2017, the state government of UP had announced to celebrate UP Divas. Following this idea, for the first time in 68 years of Indian independence in 2018, UP Foundation Day was celebrated in Lucknow.
