Lucknow. After the announcement of the date of formation of the 18th Legislative Assembly in Uttar Pradesh, all the political parties have started becoming more active. The main opposition party of the state, the Samajwadi Party, has sent a letter to the Election Commission demanding the removal of some officials. The Samajwadi Party feels that due to his stay in the post, the elections will not be fair. However, in the letter sent by Samajwadi Party National Secretary Rajendra Chaudhary, the designations of the officers are wrong.
The Samajwadi Party has demanded the removal of them from the Election Commission by accusing the officers posted at the top posts in the Uttar Pradesh government and police administration of being workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party. The Samajwadi Party has written a letter to the Election Commission by e-mail demanding immediate removal of several administrative and police officers, including Additional Chief Secretary (Home), posted in the state from their present posts for fair elections.
In a letter written to the Election Commission on behalf of the party’s national secretary and chief spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary, it has been said in the Uttar Pradesh government that Deputy Chief Secretary Avnish Awasthi, Additional Chief Secretary Information Navneet Sehgal, ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar, working on the post of ADG Amitabh Yash is working as a worker of the ruling BJP government in the state. Without removing all these with immediate effect, free, fair, fearless, influence free elections are not possible in the state. Samajwadi Party demands that all the above officers should be removed from their present posts with immediate effect so that fair, free and fear-free elections can be conducted in the state.
Samajwadi Party has written the post of Additional Chief Secretary Home Avnish Kumar Awasthi as Deputy Chief Secretary. At present there is no post of Deputy Chief Secretary in the state. Similarly, there is no post of Additional Chief Secretary Information.
