Lucknow. The mandate was issued on Friday to provide cashless treatment facility up to Rs 5 lakh in private hospitals to state employees and pensioners throughout the year. Additional Chief Secretary, Medical and Health Amit Mohan Prasad has issued an order to implement Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay State Employees Cashless Scheme.
State Health Cards will be made to provide cashless treatment facility to state employees, pensioners and their family members. The responsibility of making online state health cards has been given to the State Agency for Health and Integrated Services (Services). It will be the responsibility of all the Heads of Departments to get the State Health Cards made of the personnel and pensioners of their department.
This facility will be provided in private hospitals treating patients under Ayushman Bharat scheme.
Cashless treatment facility will also be provided in government medical institutions and medical colleges of the state. There is no maximum limit on the amount that can be spent in the treatment like in private hospitals. The Medical Education Department will create a corpus fund of Rs 200 crore by the Medical Education Department to give funds to its medical institutions and medical colleges and Rs 100 crore for cashless treatment in district hospitals etc.
From the corpus fund created for cashless medical facilities, 50 percent of the cost of treatment will be given to government hospitals. The remaining 50 percent amount will be given by the Finance Department on providing the utilization certificate. Along with the facility of cashless treatment, option will also be given to get medical reimbursement after treatment as per the present system.
