Meerut. Continuing the crackdown on gangster/history sheeter Haji Galla, the police sealed his warehouse full of old vehicles in Sadar area. The value of this property is estimated to be around Rs 25 crore. So far his assets worth more than Rs 35 crore have been confiscated. Information about his property is also being collected in Meerut, adjoining districts and other states.
Recently, an officer of the Defense Estates Department had complained to the Sadar police station about the possession of Galla on the godown made at bungalow number 235 in Cantt area. The police had registered a report against Galla and his sons.
On Friday, under the leadership of ASP Cantt Suraj Rai, the force of Sadar Bazar, Lalkurti, Mahila Thana and Quick Response Team (QRT) reached the warehouse located near MPGS School on Bungalow No. 235 Central Road in Cantt.
If the lock of the warehouse was not broken with the hammer, it was cut with a cutter. After this, new locks were installed and sealed. During this, the dhol was played and Munadi was made.
In the warehouse stood like a mountain of old vehicles. The view inside was not visible because of the large gates. The back door didn’t even open.
The ASP said that the value of the property is around 25 crores. In the past also, his assets worth more than 10 crores have been confiscated. Information on other properties is being gathered.
