Lucknow. The Yogi government, which is making every effort to return to power in Uttar Pradesh, will present the second supplementary budget for the financial year 2021-22 on Thursday in the winter session of the Legislature. It will also present the Vote on Account for the interim budget for the financial year 2022-23 and to meet the urgent expenditure of the government during the first four months. Through the second supplementary budget, the government standing at the mouth of the Legislative Assembly elections will address the farmers, unorganized sector workers, unemployed as well as state employees and workers posted on honorarium and will open the treasury for them.
Despite the withdrawal of three agricultural laws and an unprecedented increase in irrigation potential in Uttar Pradesh, the government does not want to miss an opportunity to please the farmers. Under the Kisan Samman Nidhi, the central government is giving a total of six thousand rupees in three installments of two thousand rupees to 2.42 crore small and marginal farmers of the state.
Through the second supplementary budget, the state government can announce to give another installment of two thousand rupees to these farmers from its treasury. The government can also rain money on 2.7 crore registered workers of the unorganized sector. It is intended to give two to four installments of Rs 500-500 in a year to these workers.
The government is going to decide to provide this facility to the state employees under the Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana to meet the age-old demand of cashless treatment. Government can also provide corpus fund to government medical colleges for cashless treatment of employees.
Funds may be made available for this in the second supplementary budget. Resources can also be mobilized in the second supplementary budget to increase the honorarium of ASHA workers and Panchayat representatives. The honorarium of ASHA workers can be increased from Rs 500 to Rs 750.
