Lucknow. For vehicle registration in UP, ‘One Nation One Number’ has started from Mirzapur division in the state. The first number of India ‘BH Series’ for vehicles is booked from Mirzapur. Amit Ranjan Ojha, a resident of Mirzapur has taken the number for his XUV-300. This is the ‘First Number 21BH0905A’ of the Bharat Series issued for this vehicle. This high security registration number plate to be installed in the vehicle has been sent. The vehicle owner will get this number plate next week. Vehicle owners will now be able to drive vehicles in any state of the country without any restriction. After taking the BH series, the vehicle owner will not have to take the registration number of another state.
Mirzapur Divisional Transport Officer Sanjay Tiwari told that the India series has started. The guide line has been issued by the Transport Commissioner. The first number of the series has been given to the applicant. According to the RTO (21BH0905A) Bharat Series can be understood as 21 i.e. year, BH means India number after that and last A means beginning of series. After the series is over, the next series will be B.
So far more than 38 people have applied: Till now more than 38 people from different districts in the state have applied for Bharat Series registration number for their vehicles. The first number is booked from Mirzapur. The number has been allotted.
What is ‘BH’ series: In new vehicles, a system of registration has been made for India series under ‘One Nation One Number’. Under this, the vehicle which will be registered in the Bharat series will be able to fill unhindered speed in any province of the country. They will be allowed to go to any province of the country after paying tax. Registration of all vehicles in this series is not mandatory. Especially the army, defense ministry, central departments and those private or semi-government offices, which will have to have offices in at least four provinces of the country, only then the vehicle owner will be able to register his vehicle in BH series. After taking Bharat Series, the vehicle owner will not have to take the registration number of another state.

Important Note: Two percent more tax will be levied on diesel vehicles and two percent less on electric vehicles.
For the New India series, Transport Commissioner Dheeraj Sahu has issued guide lines to all the divisional transport officers, ARTOs and registration officers of the state. More than three dozen people have applied in the state. The first number has been issued from Mirzapur.
