Kanpur. After a long wait, the curtain was finally lifted from the metro train running in the city. The coaches of the Metro train, which arrived at Kanpur Polytechnic depot on Monday night by road from Gujarat question, were landed at the depot on Wednesday. Earlier, Metro MD Kumar Keshav, who was present here, worshiped the coach and then the work of assembling the metro train was started. The metro coach which came by truck was unloaded at the depot by means of a crane and then pulled by a towing machine and taken to the assembling area.
The three coaches of the metro had reached the polytechnic depot on Tuesday morning. On Tuesday, all three coaches stood outside the project director’s office for the whole day. Efforts are on to start the Chief Minister’s dream projector Kanpur Metro at the earliest. In this episode, on Wednesday morning at 4.30 am, the metro coach from Savli in Gujarat reached the polytechnic depot. At present, they have not been removed from the trailer on Tuesday, nor have their covers been removed. Keshav Kumar, Managing Director of Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation reached the depot on Wednesday morning. The cover was removed in front of him and he worshiped the coach kept on the trailer standing in front of the project director’s office in the depot. After this the coaches were lowered on the track with the help of towing machine. The three coaches were dragged through the towing machine to the covered area and their assembling work started here. The technical staff of Metro will start their testing after assembling.
Pressure to finish the work quickly: After the arrival of the first metro coach in the city, now there is a lot of pressure on the officials of the North Metro Rail Corporation regarding their time line. There is pressure to finish civil and system related work at stations. In this, he has to run the first trial run on November 15, followed by the metro in January.
