Agra. An FIR was registered against Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh and 17 others at the Loha Mandi police station on Monday after the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) took out a ‘Tiranga Yatra’ along with thousands of party workers in Taj city. An FIR has also been registered against 450 unidentified people.
The people of the party are accused that in the rally held on Sunday, there were more people in the yatra than the number of people who were given permission to the party. The accused have been accused of violating the Covid-19 norms. This was the second Tricolor Sankalp Yatra in Agra after Lucknow, in which thousands of people participated with the national tricolour.
An AAP member said apparently the success of the yatra has upset the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh.
At the same time, he further said that when there were thousands of people and vehicles in the visit of Union Minister SP Singh Baghel, that too was a gross violation of all epidemic norms and section 144, but then no action was taken.
