Leeds. Indian team captain Virat Kohli has gone to England for the third time to play a Test series. Virat Kohli is in poor form on his third tour. Something similar was seen in 2014 as well, but he did well on the 2018 tour. However, Virat Kohli has been battling poor form for quite some time and now former Indian team captain Sunil Gavaskar has revealed how Virat Kohli can regain lost momentum.
Legendary batsman Sunil Gavaskar has asked current captain Virat Kohli to seek help from former batsman Sachin Tendulkar to recover from his poor form. During the match, Sunil Gavaskar said on Wednesday, “Kohli should immediately call Sachin and ask what should I do. Virat Kohli can also do the same thing as Sachin Tendulkar did in Sydney. He should tell himself that he should cover drive. Won’t play.”
Kohli became the victim of James Anderson by scoring just seven runs in the first innings on the first day of the third Test of the five-match Test series being played here. This is the seventh time in Test cricket that Anderson has dismissed Kohli. Sachin played sparingly during the fourth Test in Sydney during the 2003–04 Australia series. He played 436 balls at that time, but did not play a cover drive during this period.
Let us tell you that Virat Kohli has so far scored 70 centuries in international cricket, but he has to come a long way to reach the 71st century. Even though he has played 50 innings, he is not able to make the magic three-digit score. Virat Kohli is consistently getting out on small scores and most of the time he is being caught behind the wicket.
