Aligarh. After the recent demise of Kalyan Singh, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and one of the prominent leaders of Ram Mandir movement, people are reaching Uttar Pradesh to pay his last respects. Meanwhile, questions have been raised on behalf of the Congress Party and Trinamool Congress on a picture of the last glimpse of his dead body. Actually in this picture it can be seen that the flag of Bharatiya Janata Party has been placed above the national flag. This picture has created a storm on social media.
On this, Congress leader Srinivas Biwi tweeted the picture and wrote that is it true? Putting party flag on top of Indian flag in New India?
At the same time, Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP Sukhendu Shekhar Roy has tweeted this picture of Kalyan Singh’s last glimpse. He wrote, “Is insulting the national flag a new way of honoring the motherland? In the picture shared by Roy, many BJP leaders are seen. BJP National President JP Nadda, UP State President Swatantra Dev Singh are seen paying their last respects.
At the same time, a TMC leader Riju Dutta has also commented on this tweet of Sukhendu Shekhar Roy. He has written that BJP seems to be bigger than the tricolor of our country…shameful. At the same time, Congress leaders have also shared pictures. While sharing the picture, Youth Congress President BV Srinivas has asked whether it is okay to place the flag of any party above the flag of India? In another tweet, he wrote, “Smt. Humble tribute on the death of Kalyan Singh ji, but seeing this picture there is a question, can the flag of any party be above the tricolor? Insulting the national flag – a new way to respect the motherland?
Significantly, Kalyan Singh passed away on Saturday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Lucknow on Sunday and paid tribute to him. He said, “May Lord Shri Ram Kalyan Singh ji be placed at your feet and give strength to his family to bear this loss. May Lord Ram comfort every grieving person who believes in the values, ideals, cultures and traditions here, I pray this.”
