Gorakhpur. Gorakhpur Development Authority (GDA) is going to shine the city with the infrastructure fund. With this budget, roads and drains will be constructed, then various parts of the city will also be beautified. Thousands of people of Buddha Vihar Part A, B and Siddhartha Enclave, who have been facing the problem of water logging for a long time, will get relief. In the meeting of the Infrastructure Committee held under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner/Chairman GDA Ravi Kumar NG in the Commissioner’s Auditorium on Saturday evening, 15 projects were approved at a cost of 27.32 crores.
GDA Vice President Prem Ranjan Singh, after inspecting various places, took the initiative to complete 15 projects from the infrastructure fund for the convenience of the people. District Magistrate Vijay Kiran Anand, GDA Secretary Ram Singh Gautam, Chief Engineer PP Singh, Chief Engineer of Municipal Corporation Suresh Chand and officers of various departments were present in the meeting.
Stamp on these works
About three thousand people were affected due to waterlogging and bad condition of roads in Siddharthnagar Enclave Extension, GDA’s colony located at Planetarium. A woman of the colony had raised this problem in front of the GDA vice-president, who came to Dainik Jagran’s popular program ‘Prashn Pahar’ on Friday. In this colony, a proposal for road construction has been passed at a cost of Rs 2.24 crore. The Divisional Commissioner has directed to build a CC road instead of a hot mix plant. Drains will be constructed here at a cost of Rs 1.98 crore. The remaining part of the RCC drain constructed by the Municipal Corporation in Sainik Vihar Colony on Kasaya Road will also be made from this fund. 48 lakh 52 thousand 227 rupees have been approved for this.
The condition of Buddha Vihar Part A, B and Amrapali will also improve
The work of raising and strengthening the service road in front of Buddha Vihar Part A, B and Amrapali will be done. Three crore 44 lakh 23 thousand 887 rupees will be spent on this. Along with this, RCC drain will be constructed parallel to Deoria bypass along the service road of this locality at a cost of Rs. 4 crore 58 lakh 92 thousand 793. This will help a large population of this area get rid of the problem of water logging. RCC culvert will be constructed on the road leading to Kanshiram Nagar located on Deoria bypass road at a cost of Rs 2 lakh 54 thousand 586.
Many areas of the city will become beautiful
A proposal to beautify many areas of the city was also passed in the meeting. Armamental poles and LED lights will be installed at a cost of about Rs 3.44 crore in a length of about 3.5 km near Maharana Pratap Polytechnic on Gorakhnath Road from the traffic junction. The light already installed here was instructed to be installed at the entrance of the city. Armamental poles and lights will be installed from Buddha Dwar to Naya Savera at Padleganj. 3.5 crore will be spent on this scheme. The lights already installed here will be shifted to the colonies of GDA. Armamental pole and LED light will be installed in Mahant Digvijaynath Park in front of Ramgarhtal. 76 lakh will be spent on this. Similarly, murals and linear lights will also be installed at a cost of Rs.94 lakh.
Water body will be improved with two crores
The water body, spread over 42 acres in front of Ramgarhtal, will be constructed at a cost of Rs.2 crore. There is also a plan to run a paddle boat along with making a pathway here. Later fish farming can also be allowed. This water body runs from the front of the boating to the circuit house through the back of Vasundhara Enclave. Along with this, beautification, lighting and wall painting of various places of the city will be done at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore.
Yoga center will be renovated in Vindhyavasini Park
The Yag Center will be renovated at Vindhyavasini Park, Mohdipur with Rs 30 lakh. Harishankar Pandey and Harinarayan Dhar Dubey, who oversee the yoga center, met the GDA vice-president and told about the plight of the center. He also inspected the spot on Saturday. Out of this budget, six damaged tin sheds will be repaired and beautified by installing facade lights in front.
Ambedkar Park to become beautiful
1.5 crore has been sanctioned for the strengthening and beautification of Dr. Ambedkar Park located at Hadhwa Gate Road, Humayunpur. Facts related to the life of Dr. Ambedkar will also be mentioned here. Dr. Ambedkar Udyan in front of Circuit House will be renovated at a cost of Rs.60 lakh.
CC road will be built from ambedkar chowk to firak square
In the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner directed that the major roads of the city should be repaired within four months. This is the first phase of the projects sanctioned from the infrastructure fund. There are two more steps. No road will be seen broken within four months. He said that he has been watching the road from Ambedkar Chowk to Firaq Square since 2012. The road breaks frequently. The Municipal Corporation had made a proposal to make it from hot mix. The Divisional Commissioner said that this should also be made CC Road. Wherever there is a problem of water logging, there should be a CC road.
