Bikru. Bikru village of Kanpur could not forget the bloodshed that happened a year ago. The bullet marks on the walls were erased, but the bullet holes on the iron doors still bear testimony to the brutality. A lot has changed in Bikaru with the passage of time. Now there are no chapels and there is no fear of anyone. The people of the village got busy in daily work, but no one has forgotten the dreadful night of July 2.
The border of the village of Bikru starts as soon as it turns from Chaubepur to Shivli road. All the roads of the village are RCC. The third road leads to the door of development. People get alerted by the sound of a vehicle in the village. Most people assume that there must have been an investigation. Everyone tries not to fall into the trap of Bikrukand. When asked, they only say that life is going on. A large area reaching about 200 meters from the main road has turned into ruins. The three big gates of the fort-turned-development house have fallen face to face. Luxury vehicles, two tractors and other farm equipment are lying broken. The whole house has been found in the mud.
The people of the locality still hesitate
Once upon a time, there used to be development chaupals in the land which has been demolished. Small disputes in the village, area were resolved here. The development decision was final. Small miscreants of the area also used to gather here. Gundagardi script was also written in this house. Now everything is closed here. The people of the village no longer had any kind of fear. The people of the development locality still shy away from speaking. Because of this most of the people were close to him and many families were killed in their encounters. Because of this they have their own pain and are immersed in their own sorrow. Neither development meant nor the villagers.
Never forget that dreadful night till today
Vikas’s neighbor Kushwaha family was seen busy preparing for the daughter’s wedding. On scraping, it is said that we did not have much to come and go. Being a villager, there was a lot of blessings. Rajesh Kumar is found on the road leading to Kajanti. When asked, they say that now everything is back to normal. The people of the village are trying to forget but how can they forget. It was a dreadful night. Bullets were raining all around. Who was driving whom, I don’t know. Ram Kumar, who is passing through the same road, says that Bikaru has become famous all over the country. The name of the village has been maligned by that incident.
No one goes to the ruins of development anymore
For months, the force of Chaubepur police station used to sit in the ruins of development, but now only the bench is lying. The people of the village shy away from even seeing that ruin. The bench is empty and no one even goes to peek.
