Dehradun. Mahesh Jina, the MLA elected in the by-election to the Sult seat of the assembly under Almora district, will be sworn in as the legislator on May 27. Assembly Speaker Premchand Aggarwal will administer him the oath. Due to the demise of BJP MLA Surendra Singh Jeena, the Salt seat of the assembly was vacant. In the recently held by-election for this seat, BJP fielded Mahesh Jeena, brother of Jeena, the late MLA, and he won. Assembly Speaker Premchand Aggarwal said that Mahesh Jeena, who won on a BJP ticket, will be sworn in as an MLA in the assembly on May 27.
Meanwhile, newly elected MLA Mahesh Jeena, who arrived in Dehradun, paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat at the Secretariat on Tuesday. During this, he drew the attention of the Chief Minister to various problems of the region. The Chief Minister assured to take effective steps to solve the problems.
Questions are being asked from MLAs for the upcoming session
Online and offline questions are being asked from the legislators for the upcoming session of the assembly. According to the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, more than two hundred questions have been received by the Assembly so far. He said that the last session of the assembly was held in March. In this case, the session is to be held before September. He said that the government has to decide when and where the session will take place. Whether the session is in Dehradun or Garsain assembly is ready for this.
