Bareilly. Amid increasing cases of Kovid infection, 300 to 300 cases are being reported daily even after the infection is serious. In such a situation, the district administration has a big responsibility to recruit them. For this, a District Surveillance Team has been formed which hospitalizes the infected. But having limited ambulances is taking a long time to recruit the infected. On Monday, Dainik Jagran investigated it, so many cases came in which it took one to three hours to get the infected admitted.
Worried family members, DM also called
Ahmed Khan age 65, resident of Shyamganj. The health was bad for the last eight to ten days. If the cough was cold, the doctor got Kovid examined. The investigation came up negative. Everything was going fine but on Wednesday morning there was difficulty in breathing. On talking to the doctor, he immediately asked for oxygen to be arranged and taken to Kovid Hospital. On this, Ahmed Khan’s son called 0581-2511021 at 11 am and informed about the patient’s condition.
He was asked to send an ambulance soon. But the ambulance did not arrive till 1.30 pm. After this, on talking on the same number again, he was asked to send an ambulance for Ruhelkhand, but the ambulance did not come. Son Shahroz told that DM also informed Nitish Kumar, he assured, but no ambulance reached for help. His son later took a private ambulance for Rs 2500 and admitted his father to the Ruhelkhand Hospital.
SPO-2 was less than 94, yet did not put oxygen

Hospitals are taking time to recruit patients
The ambulance drivers told him to reach the hospital with the patient any time soon, but it takes time to get the patient admitted to the hospital. Told that it takes one to two hours to make a file in the hospital, to know the history of the patient and to arrange the beds. The patient remains on ambulance oxygen for so long. He has demanded the district administration to improve this system.
Do it yourself
There are instructions from the government that the ambulance will be sanitized in the hospital itself after landing the infected person. But there is no facility for sanitizing ambulances in the hospitals of the district. Initially it helped a few days, but now ambulance drivers are sanitizing their own car.
The ambulance and hospital are allocated immediately as soon as the information is received from the relatives of the infected. Sometimes the ambulance allocated may be delayed only if the patient is engaged to leave the hospital or shift. In the case of an ambulance, within 20-30 minutes of reaching otherwise.
