Kashipur: The fire brigade has given notice to eight Kovid hospitals in the city to make fire safety arrangements better. Everyone has been asked for a reply in a week. After this, if the systems do not improve then strict action will be taken against the hospitals.
The administration had in the past allowed ten private hospitals in the city to treat corona infections, given the increasing pace of corona infection. Where severely infected people are being treated. Here, from time to time, the fire department has been alerted, taking into account the horrific fire and loss of life in Kovid hospitals in different parts of the country. The Fire Department team led by FSO Girish Singh Bisht conducted a thorough investigation of fire fighting equipment and fire rescue systems in ten Kovid private hospitals in the city.
During this period, two hospitals were found in ten Kovid private hospitals, where all the systems met the standard of the fire and fire department. But fire fighting equipment and other arrangements at eight Kovid private hospitals did not meet the standard. While all Kovid private hospitals are currently treating a large number of corona infected and patients suffering from other diseases.
FSO Girish Singh Bisht said that the team conducted on-site inspection of all Kovid private hospitals. During this time, the team gathered information about fire safety equipment, exit routes during fire, operating fire safety equipment, etc. During the inspection, out of ten Kovid private hospitals, eight private hospitals have not been able to meet the fire department’s standard and have been asked to fix the system by giving one week’s notice.
