Rishikesh. A young man who came to Rishikesh to meet his friend from Yamunanagar in Haryana drowned in the Ganges near Munikirati. Police have recovered the body of the young man. His relatives have also been informed.
Son Praveen resident (17 years old) son Pravin, near Janki bridge near Purnanand Ghat under Kailash Gate Police Outpost area of Thana Munikirati, drowned in Ganga of Sector 17 Hooda Yamunanagar, Haryana. Outpost in-charge Ashish Kumar said that Sachet came here to meet his friend Chitesh resident Rewari Haryana. He arrived here at 2:30 am on Saturday. Chitesh is staying in a paying guest house in Kailash Gate itself. He has come here for yoga training.
Chitesh was doing yoga on the Ganges coast during the incident. In the meantime, the conscious went to the Ganges for a bath. During this time he started drowning. Chitesh reached there to save her. By then the conscious was absorbed into the water. His friend informed the nearby water police. The jawans of the water police found Sachet in the water. After about ten minutes, he was removed from the water. Later, he was brought to the state hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Police said Sachet Maharishi is a B.Tech pass from Electronics and Communication from Markandeshwar University Maulana Ambala. He contributes to his father’s work. Sachet’s father owns a paper mill business in Hooda Yamunanagar. He has a younger brother in the family, who has gone to China for MBBS. Police sent the body to AIIMS Rishikesh for postmortem.
