New Delhi. The Delhi Metro is also creating one record after another, with Delhi becoming the lifeline. Delhi Metro has now set a new record on the magenta line. This record is the deepest metro station ever built by the Delhi Metro. It is also an interchange hub.
Till now only Rajiv Chowk, Kashmiri Gate Metro, Central Secretariat of Delhi Metro were considered as big interchange hubs. Now the name of Hauz Khas metro station has also been added to it. It has become the second deepest metro station after Rajiv Chowk. As well as the interchange point. Huda City Center at Hauzkhas Metro Station on the Magenta Line and will be the largest interchange hub for commuters in Noida.
Till now, the passengers of Noida had to pass through 34 metro stations to reach the Huda City Center via the Yellow Line. Whereas now the passengers of Noida will be able to interchange from Hauzkhas metro station on Magenta Line and reach Huda City Center via 25 stations. Hauz Khas metro station is completely under-ground and is 29 meters deep, which is equivalent to a depth of about eight floors.
The Magenta Line (Janakpuri West and Kalkaji Mandir) of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) was inaugurated by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. After that, the metro is operating on this line. India’s first fully automated metro is also running on this line.
With the introduction of metro on this line, not only the people of Delhi but also Haryana (Gurugram, Faridabad and Palwal) are getting huge benefits for the passengers of UP (Ghaziabad and Noida). It is also a special thing that with the start of this line, the journey period between Noida and Gurugram has reduced by at least 30 minutes.
With the inauguration, the domestic terminal of the airport will come under the ambit of the metro network. This will provide additional facilities to domestic aircraft passengers. Metro officials said that after the commissioning of this section, the total length of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) network will be 277 km.
Now Gurugram to Noida in 50 minutes
This made direct metro facility between Botanicalgarden to Janakpuri West of Noida. Also, it became easier to reach Terminal-1 of the airport from South Delhi and West Delhi. Apart from this, the convenience of traffic in Delhi-NCR has also improved. The entire magenta line is connected to four major educational institutions JNU, IIT, Jamia Millia Islamia and Amity University in Noida. Which will greatly benefit the students.
Time saving
According to DMRC officials, it would take about 50 minutes to reach the Botanical Garden (on the Blue Line in Noida) from Huda City Center (Yellow Line towards Gurgaon) with the commencement of the Magenta Line. Till now it used to take about one and a half hours to reach Noida from Gurgaon after interchange from Rajiv Chowk.
