Millions of people of Delhi-NCR were shaken up when the tremors were felt late Friday night. The magnitude of this earthquake on the Richter scale was measured at 6.3 magnitudes. At the same time, people came out of their homes as soon as the earthquake struck. Especially the people living in flats were more scared. The tremors were so strong that the fans in the house also roamed for several minutes.

According to information received from the National Seismology Center, the epicenter of the earthquake was Tajikistan. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also tweeted and expressed concern about the earthquake and prayed to God for all’s well-being. However, till late night there was no notice of loss of life or property from anywhere. No untoward incident has been reported from anywhere on Saturday morning.
According to information received from the National Seismology Center, the earthquake occurred at 10.31 pm and 33 seconds. Its depth in the ground was 74 kilometers. Experts believe that if the epicenter is more than 20 kilometers down in the ground, then the intensity on the Richter scale is even higher. In such a situation, the tremors of earthquakes are also very fast.
