new Delhi. In light of the emerging evidence from Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala over the Popular Front of India (PFI) involvement in alleged anti-national activities, the leading Muslim organization Sufi Islamic Board has appealed to the Union Home Ministry to renew its call on the group Impose restrictions on priority basis. Syed Khalid Mian Naqvi ul Hussaini, chief of Sufi Board’s Gujarat Wing, said, “We have requested the government to take cognizance of the new contacts of PFI in Turkey with organizations working against the interests of our country. Such The links bother us. ”
On the alleged meeting of PFI members with the leaders of Turkish controversial organization IHH (Insan Haq ve Hurriyatleri), the Sufi Board official said that Indian agencies need to investigate such relationships deeply so that harmony cannot be disturbed in India .
Syed Khalid Mian, a peer of the famous dargah of Mehsana in Gujarat, said the home ministry should move fast and ban the organization.
He said that IHH is associated with extremist organizations like ISIS. So if there are links of PFI activists with IHH, it can be a serious threat to our country’s security.
The recent investigation by the National Investigation Agency against some PFI activists reveals their deep roots with terrorist organizations.
Investigating a money laundering case against PFI, the Enforcement Directorate recently revealed to a Kochi court in Kerala that PFI student wing leader KA Rauf Sharif received a large amount of information from suspected foreign accounts. The ED said in its remand report that Sharif funded four people to travel to Hathras in Uttar Pradesh, where a Dalit woman was killed after allegedly gang-raping her. All the four people were arrested by the UP Police in October last year on charges of causing harm to social harm and inciting riots.
The Karnataka police also found primary evidence against the PFI in the Bangalore riots in early 2020.
On the alleged role of PFI in anti-CAA stir and large scale violence during Delhi riots, Syed Khalid Mian said that Delhi Police had arrested senior officials of the Islamic organization in connection with the rioting funding.
He said, the police is doing its job but we are worried about the false propaganda of PFI. They are trying to mislead the Muslim youth at the behest of those who are against the nation. We all want peace and hence the Sufi Board has started a campaign to ban PFI. Its purpose is to ensure communal harmony.
More than a dozen cases of violence, terrorist activities and money laundering are being opposed in the courts against the PFI, while the organization says it had no role in the riots in the north or southern part of India, as many Featured by law enforcement agencies.
On the basis of documentary evidence against the PFI, the UP government had earlier taken a step to ban the controversial Islamic organization. Unfazed by such serious allegations, the PFI describes the organization as a neo-social movement committed to empowering people to ensure justice, freedom and security. It has several branches that have access to various sections of the society, including the Rashtriya Mahila Morcha and the Campus Front of India.
