Bhopal . During the by-election of the Vidhan Sabha in Madhya Pradesh, about 19.5 million rupees of material including cash of three and a half crores has been seized. Joint Chief Electoral Officer Mohit Bundas said that liquor, vehicles, cash and other materials worth Rs 19.45 crore have been seized so far in the 28 assembly constituencies of the 19 districts of the state in the by-election to the assembly. Four crore 81 lakhs have been seized by the Excise Department and Rs.3 crore 28 lakhs have been seized by the police.
Apart from this, cash seizure of three crore 66 lakhs has been made so far from various places. Along with liquor seizure, there has been seizure of vehicles and other materials, which is worth six crore 33 lakh rupees. Police and Narcotics Department have seized drugs worth one crore 38 lakh rupees.
