There has been an uproar in the area due to the drowning of 6 children who had gone to take bath in the canal in Nanpara, Bahraich, UP. However, with the help of police and villagers, two children were saved safely while four people including three girls and a boy died by drowning in the canal. The police have sent the bodies for post-mortem. To get relief from the heat, the children had gone to take a bath in the river.

After receiving the information, Nanpara police reached the spot, after a lot of effort, took out the bodies of a boy and three girls and after taking legal action, sent them for post-mortem. The incident is being reported from Girdharpur of Nanpara area. More than a dozen children had gone to take a bath in the canal to get relief from the humid heat. Aanchal, Choini, Rahul and Mahi, residents of the village, had gone to take bath in the canal located in front of Kotwali Nanpara Girdharpur village. While bathing, an innocent child went into deep water and while trying to save him, the other three innocent children also drowned in deep water. After some time, when the family members started searching, clothes and slippers were found near the canal. On which everyone started searching in the canal. When the search for the children was started with the help of local divers, the bodies of Aanchal, Choini, Rahul and Mahi were recovered from the canal.
