Lucknow . Bahujan Samaj Party President Mayawati on Thursday expelled 7 MLAs from the party and accused the Samajwadi Party (SP) of being anti-Dalit. He said that it was his ‘mistake’ to withdraw the 1995 guest house case. In a press statement, Mayawati said that she had aligned with the SP in 2019, putting aside the incident of June 2, 1995. He said, “Akhilesh was constantly asking Satish Chandra Mishra to withdraw the guest house scandal. In the Lok Sabha elections, the BSP gave full support to the SP candidates but we did not get their votes.”
He added, “The 7 MLAs who have betrayed the party are being expelled from the party. The expelled MLAs are – Aslam Chaudhary, Aslam Raini, Mujtaba Siddiqui, Hakam Lal Bind, Govind Jatav, Sushma Jatav and Vandana Singh. ”
He said that as soon as these MLAs violate anti-defection laws, disqualification petitions will be filed against them.
Mayawati also announced that she will avenge the wrong done to her party in the upcoming Legislative Council elections. We will ensure the defeat of the SP candidate. I want to tell Akhilesh that he had also divided our party in 2003 and then the people voted him out of power in 2007.
Regarding the drama that took place during the Rajya Sabha elections, he said that Mishra has given SP MP Prof. Ram had asked Gopal Yadav if his party would field another candidate, then he had said that the party would not field another candidate.
“After that we decided to field our candidate so that our members would not negotiate with other candidates. But SP cheated and threw an industrialist in the last minute,” he said.
