A woman named Madhu was missing from Brahmapuri Colony of Modinagar, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh since January 21, who was murdered. Now the police has revealed the accused of her murder. Her ex-husband Sonu has been arrested on the charge of murdering the woman. Husband Sonu had strangled Madhu to death and took the body to Haridwar and hid it with stones.
The wife was having a dispute with her ex-husband for a long time. A few days ago, the court had given the decision to give seven lakh rupees to wife Madhu in the name of Stridhan. Sonu was angry since then. He kidnapped Madhu in his Swift car on January 21 and killed her. After this, he switched off his and Madhu’s mobile and went underground. Two police teams were in Haridwar for four days. Police detained many of Sonu’s close ones on Tuesday and interrogated them. Then the whole mystery was solved.
Murder for not giving Stridhan
Sonu killed Madhu only because the court had ordered him to pay 7 lakh rupees to his wife as Stridhan, for which four installments will have to be paid from time to time. Apart from this, the court had ordered Sonu to give 6000 rupees monthly allowance to Madhu as expenses. To avoid paying the expenses, the accused Virendra alias Sonu planned to kill Madhu.
Body hidden under stones on the hill
When Madhu left home for work, Sonu made some excuse and kidnapped her in his Swift car and took her to Haridwar. While returning after visiting Chandi Mata, he strangled Madhu to death with her dupatta and hid her body on the hill by pressing it with stones. When Madhu did not return from work, the family lodged a complaint in Modinagar police station. After registering the report, the police started searching for Madhu by setting up different teams.
Police arrested the accused
After this, the police came to know that Virendra alias Sonu was married to Madhu in 2002. There was a dispute between the two, due to which their case was going on in Ghaziabad court. The court had asked him to give 7 lakh rupees to Madhu as expenses and 6 thousand every month, after which he was very angry. To avoid this expense, he killed Madhu. With the help of surveillance and Haridwar police, the police recovered Madhu’s body from under the stones. The accused has been arrested. The police has also recovered the car used in the kidnapping and murder.
