Firozabad: A woman on her way to the hospital was shot at by unidentified assailants in Tilak Nagar area of Firozabad district in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday morning. In a hurry, the woman’s husband took her to the local hospital. Where the doctors declared him dead. It is being told that the woman was shot 3 times. On the other hand, after getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot and are investigating the matter.

After inspecting the spot, Superintendent of Police Sarvesh Kumar Mishra told that Tilak Nagar resident Uma Devi (35) was ill and was going to the hospital with her husband around 11 am. According to Mishra, Uma was driving at a slow speed due to which her husband overtook her a little. Unidentified motorcycle-borne miscreants shot Uma in the head in Tilak Nagar area itself, causing her to fall on the road, he said. He told that Uma’s husband took her to the district hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead.

According to Kumar, the police have collected evidence by inspecting the spot. He said that the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area is being scanned so that the attackers can be arrested at the earliest.
