Ghaziabad. A case of raping a 16-year-old girl on the pretext of marriage has come to light in a colony of Kotwali area. The accused was sexually harassing the girl for the last one and a half years. A few days ago, when the teenager protested when the young man’s relationship was fixed, the young man threatened to kill her.
By registering the case, the police has started investigation. A resident of a colony works in a private company. His daughter is a school student. Some time ago he met a young man living in the neighborhood. Things started between the two. Both started meeting each other.
It is alleged that a year and a half ago the young man took the girl to a hotel. Raped them by giving them intoxicants there. On regaining consciousness, when the teenager came to know about the rape, the young man assured to get married. After this he continued to rape her. The girl was sure that the young man would marry her, but a few days ago, the young man’s relationship was fixed somewhere else.
When the teenager came to know about this, she went to his house. Told the young man to break the relationship and marry her, but the young man did not agree. He threw the girl out of the house. Threatened that if she comes home again, she will kill the whole family.
Terrified, the teenager told the whole thing to her relatives. After this, along with her relatives, reached the Modinagar police station on Saturday and filed a complaint against the accused. In the case, ACP Modinagar Ritesh Tripathi says that he has started investigating the matter by filing a report. Medical examination of the girl has also been done. Further action is going on.
