According to the police, a woman roaming from place to place was found at Bahjoi railway station about 10 days back. Only then did he meet Moharpal of Semla Bhud village under Dhanari police station area, who took the woman on a bluff and brought her home, promising to keep her as his wife, but instead of keeping her at home, accused a youth of his village. It is said that he tied a bandage on the woman’s mouth and eyes and kept threatening her everyday. On December 7, he took her out of the cab to the sugarcane field and started raping her. Meanwhile, the woman raised an alarm when a villager informed Dial 112 and the police reached the spot and freed her from the sugarcane field.

The woman told the police during interrogation that she was married to a young man named Sanjay, but due to estrangement, she is not living with him and is often moving from place to place. At present the woman is hesitating to tell everything clearly to the police and is not able to speak much. Due to which he has been kept in One Stop Center building.
