Vinod Kumar Harit, former BSP MLA of Siwalkhas Vidhan Sabha of Meerut, took the membership of Rashtriya Lok Dal in the presence of National Lok Dal National President Chaudhary Jayant Singh at Vasant Kunj in New Delhi.
Vinod Kumar Harit, who was an MLA from Siwalkhas Vidhan Sabha from 2007 to 2012, served as the Divisional Coordinator of Agra, Aligarh, Moradabad, Meerut and Saharanpur in the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) as well as the District President of Baghpat and Meerut.
At present, former MLA Vinod Kumar Harit was an active member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, today former MLA Vinod Kumar Harit took membership of the Rashtriya Lok Dal, being fed up with the anti-farmer policies of the Bharatiya Janata Party. National President of Scheduled Castes, Tribes Prashant Kannojia and RLD leader Abhishek Chaudhary Gurjar were present.
RLD’s clan growing continuously
After the death of Chaudhary Ajit Singh, Chaudhary Jayant Singh appealed to the old party workers to come with the RLD. After the farmers’ movement, Jayant is holding mass meetings in western Uttar Pradesh. Lok Sankalp Patra is being prepared for the agenda of elections from five lakh people.
Seeing the popularity of Chaudhary Jayant Singh, leaders of other parties are constantly coming to RLD. Leaders of all parties including former Union Minister, Sompal Shastri, Ramasis Rai, former MP Shahid Siddiqui, former MLC Rajkumar Tyagi, former MLA Thakur Virendra, Noor Salim Rana, Rao Waris, former MoS Khalid Masood have joined the RLD. This trend will continue till the 2022 assembly elections.
