Dehradun. In order to implement the promise of doubling the income of farmers in the state, plans and policies related to agriculture and allied sectors are now ready to be put on the ground in mission mode. For this, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has approved the Group of Ministers and the State Level Committee. Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Subodh Uniyal will be the chairman of this group and committee. Other members of the group include Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Minister of State for Cooperatives (Independent Charge) and Rekha Arya, Minister of State for Animal Husbandry (Independent Charge).
The emphasis of the central and state governments is to increase the income of farmers by encouraging farming and related businesses. Departments related to this campaign will now be connected to Shiddat. In fact, the better the synergy between agriculture and related industries, the more the farmers and producers will get the benefit of the respective schemes. Also, financial assistance is also being received from NABARD to implement these schemes.
The government is also cautious about the loans from NABARD to farmers and entrepreneurs in the agriculture sector. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat is working on a new initiative to give effective impetus to the schemes of all the above mentioned departments and give them momentum. To achieve this, he has approved the Group of Ministers and the State Level Committee. In addition to the ministers, the Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Secretary, Chief General Manager of NABARD, all departments heads will be members. The Agriculture Production Commissioner will be the member secretary in the committee.
