Amroha. In Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, a young man was lured to drink late at night and then murdered by his tenants over a dispute over money. The deceased is the younger brother of a female sub-inspector who filed a complaint last week after her brother went missing.
Amroha SP Vipin Tada told reporters, “Akshay was a resident of Friends Colony in Amroha district. He went missing on Thursday. Following the complaint, his search was conducted and Akshay’s body was found at a deserted place.”
A case has been registered against a couple. Wife is absconding. Husband Arvind has been arrested.
The elder sister of the deceased, Akshay, is a sub-inspector in Uttar Pradesh Police.
Arvind has confessed to the crime. Akshay’s body was found near a tubewell on Sunday evening.
Arvind told the police that he had an affair with Akshay for money. He lived with his wife in Akshay’s house.
The SP further said, “On Thursday night, Arvind lured Akshay by promising him liquor. He took him to a secluded spot and shot and killed him.”
