New Delhi . Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday that Ayurveda is the heritage of India, in whose expansion the well-being of the whole humanity is covered. He said that India is in a stable condition due to corona infection, so there is a huge contribution of traditional medical system in it which is also enriching other countries. The Prime Minister said this in his address after dedicating the Fifth Ayurveda Day to Ayurveda Institutes, the Institute of Ayurvedic Teaching and Research of Jamnagar and the National Ayurved Institute of Jaipur. He said, “Ayurveda is a heritage of India, in which the good of the whole humanity is extended. Which Indian will not be happy to see that our traditional knowledge is now enriching other countries as well. Today, the national policy of Brazil includes Ayurveda. Be it Indo-US relations or Indo-German relations, cooperation related to AYUSH and traditional medicine is increasing continuously. ”
The Prime Minister said that when there was no effective way to combat the corona, many immunity booster measures like turmeric, decoction, milk were very useful in every household in India. He said, “If our country with such a large population is in a stable condition today, then this tradition of ours has a huge contribution in it.” Exports of Ayurvedic products have increased nearly one-and-a-half times in September this year compared to the previous year. He said that during this period, exports of spices have also increased considerably. The Prime Minister said, “The export of Ayurvedic products has increased almost one and a half times in September this year as compared to last year. Not only this, there has also been a significant increase in the export of spices. This shows that there is growing confidence in Ayurvedic solutions and Indian spices in the world. Now, in many countries, specialty drinks related to turmeric are also increasing. The world’s prestigious medical journals are also seeing new hope and hope in Ayurveda. ”
He said that India has a great heritage related to health, but this knowledge was mostly limited in books, in the scriptures and a little bit on grandmother’s grandmother’s prescriptions. He said, “This knowledge needs to be developed according to modern requirements.” The Institute of Ayurvedic Teaching and Research in Jamnagar has been given the status of an institute of national importance through the law of the Parliament while the National Institute of Ayurveda in Jaipur Honorary University status has been conferred by the Universities Grants Commission. The Ministry of AYUSH has been celebrating Ayurveda Day every year since 2016 on the occasion of Dhanvantari Jayanti.
