Dehradun. After Garasain (Bharadisain) became the summer capital of Uttarakhand movement’s public sentiments, now the present government is trying to pave the way for the development of Garsain. On the occasion of the State Foundation Day, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has announced to spend 25 thousand crores in 10 years for the development of non-military. Under this, a 70-km radius from Bharadisain will be developed under the master plan by declaring the summer capital enclosure. It has been announced to set up a committee under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary to chalk out a planned development. If the efforts of the government were successful, then in the near future, this enclave would be seen in a fresh new era. Obviously, this will also open the doors of promotion of the surrounding areas.
Geographically, the present state government declared the summer capital in March this year in the geographical terms. After its notification, the focus is now on its development. Its master plan will be prepared in such a way that the sprouts of development flow down from the mountain. Under this, along with the summer capital complex, around 70 km radius will be declared as the summer capital enclosure, to create infrastructure for health, education, drinking water, road, air and rail connectivity and other civic amenities.
Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat went to Garsain himself on the State Foundation Day and announced the all-round development of the region from there. Through this, the government has also tried to give the message that its intention is not just to give the summer capital to Garsain but he is fully committed to the development of the surrounding area.
Township on the lines of Smart City
A township equipped with integrated systems will be developed on the lines of the Smart City in the summer capital complex. Under this, along with the adoption of green building concept, there will be alternative arrangements for solar energy.
Rail and Air Connectivity
The government is also seriously engaged in connecting the summer capital Garasain with the Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail project. In this connection, the Government has already held two talks with the Railway Minister. According to Urban Development Minister Madan Kaushik, the idea is to connect Garsain with rail connectivity. In view of the air connectivity, survey has been done for the air strip in Gairsain.
