new Delhi. The eighth round of Corps Commander level talks between India and China is scheduled for November 6. Earlier, the seventh round of military talks was held on 12 October in which there was no result of the withdrawal of troops from the points of confrontation in eastern Ladakh. “The eighth round of military talks could be held this week,” a source said on Tuesday. Circumstances were created between the two sides in May this year which continue till now. No progress has been made so far to reduce tension on the border and withdrawal of Chinese forces.
In the eighth round of military talks, the Indian delegation will be led by Lieutenant General PG Menon, who has recently been made the Commander of the 14th Corps of Leh. The joint press statement issued by the armies of the two countries after the last round of talks said that the two sides have agreed to maintain dialogue through military and diplomatic channels so that a joint sharing process could be completed as soon as possible to end the deadlock. Acceptable solutions can be found.
