Istanbul Turkish police have detained eight such suspects, who are said to have links with terrorist organization IS, in two separate operations. According to state news, in an operation conducted in Turkey’s western province of Izmir, police have apprehended seven Syrians, who are accused of working on behalf of IS.
It further stated, Police is trying to nab another suspect.
In addition, an Iraqi citizen has also been detained from the central Anatolian province of Nigdai. He is accused of having links with IS.
According to the report, IS has been blamed for deadly attacks in Turkey since 2015, killing more than 300 people so far.
