Bareilly . In Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, a Hindu Yuva Vahini leader was found dead near his hospital. He was stabbed with a knife. Bareilly Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Rohit Singh Sajwan said, “The body of 37-year-old Sanjay Singh was found near his hospital in Dunka area under the Shahi Police Station area on Thursday evening. Several wounds to the body stabbed him “We have sent the dead body for postmortem and registered a case of murder against unknown people.”
Sajwan said that five employees of the hospital have been detained and are being questioned. Police are also searching CCTV footage of the scene.
Dinesh Singh, a relative of Sanjay Singh, said that Sanjay was very active in the activities of Hindu Yuva Vahini and had many political rivals in the area. “I think he has a rival behind this incident,” Singh said.
Sanjay Singh was the Bareilly district vice-president of the Hindu Yuva Vahini, established in 2002 by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
