Mumbai. The NCB, Mumbai zone has arrested at least six more people in connection with the investigation of drug angle related to the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. An official gave this information here on Sunday.
Karamjit Singh Anand (23) has been arrested by teams led by zonal director Sameer Wankhede in a raid from Mumbai to Goa.
Restrictive intoxicants like ganja and charas have been recovered from him.
Divan Anthony Fernandes, a hemp supplier, was arrested along with two others from Dadar (West), Mumbai. The NCB has recovered half a kilo of cannabis from them.
Also, a man named Ankush Arenza (29) was caught from Powai.
Arranza has been reported as the banned narcotics receiver from Karamjeet and has also supplied it to another accused Anuj Keshwani, arrested earlier in the same case.
The NCB has recovered 42 grams of charas and Rs 1,12,400 in cash from Arranza.
NCB Deputy Director K.P.S. Malhotra said that NCB, Goa sub zone has arrested one person Chris Costa in this case and further investigation is going on.
The NCB has also refuted speculation that some of Bollywood’s celebrities are on its radar or are being investigated.
