new Delhi. BJP MP Subramanian Swamy has raised questions on the number of students in the JEE Main exam. Swami’s answer was given by Union Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. Actually, Swamy said that 18 lakh students have filled the forms for the JEE exam. In response, Nishank said that 8.58 lakh students had filled the forms for the JEE examinations. Swami wrote in a tweet, “18 lakh students downloaded the pass for JEE out of which only 8 lakh reached the examination last week. It is a disgrace to the country that extends knowledge and knowledge.
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank responded to Subramanian Swamy by posting on his official Twitter account. Tagging Swami on Twitter, he wrote, “Swami ji, I would like to present before you some facts regarding the JEE exam. 8.58 lakh students have applied for JEE and not 18 lakh, as you tweeted.
Nishank said, 8.58 lakh students had applied for JEE Main exam and out of these 6.35 lakh candidates have appeared for JEE.
Nishank said that during these examinations conducted, the Central and the respective State Governments assured all possible assistance to the students, and for this I congratulate all the State Governments.
It is worth noting that the JEE Main Examination was taken from September 1-6. 8.58 lakh students had filled the form for JEE Main. 6.35 lakh students have appeared for JEE examination. Students who have appeared in the JEE Main examinations will not have to wait much for the results. The result of JEE Main examinations will be declared on 10 September. The JEE Advanced exam will be taken after the results are declared.
After the result of JEE Main Exam is declared, students will be able to register for JEE Advanced from September 11 to September 17. The admit card for the JEE Advanced exam will be released on September 20. On the basis of JEE Main results in JEE Advanced, 2.5 lakh students will get the chance to take the exam. The JEE Advanced exam will be held on 27 September.
