Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has retired the services of quality controllers after the disclosure of distribution of substandard rice (animal feedable) during the Corona period from ration shops in tribal dominated districts of Balaghat and Mandla in Madhya Pradesh. is suspended. Recently, 32 samples were taken from godowns and ration shops in Mandla and Balaghat district and during investigation it was found that this rice is of poor quality and not fit for human consumption. Following the revelation of this matter, Chief Minister Chauhan has terminated the services of quality controllers responsible for the quality check work of rice in Balaghat and Mandla districts and the district manager of Balaghat has been suspended. According to official information, Chief Minister Chauhan has given strict instructions against the culprits, taking seriously the issue of supply of quality rice at some places in Balaghat and Mandla districts. Those who make ration or fertilizer mess or black marketing will not be spared at all.
