new Delhi. India has thwarted incursions by the Chinese military to change the status quo in the Pangong So area of eastern Ladakh. However, the casualties of the soldiers from both sides are yet to be confirmed. A brigade commander-level meeting is going on in Chushul to resolve the issue. Please tell that this incident is on Saturday and Sunday night. Now China and India are engaged in diplomatic and military talks to resolve the disputed border issue in eastern Ladakh.
The statement issued by the Indian Army said that on the night of 29 August and 30 August 2020, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) soldiers violated the previous consensus in eastern Ladakh and also made military incursions to change the status quo. .
The army said, “Indian troops thwarted PLA activity near Pangong Lake. We also took measures to strengthen our position and thwart Chinese intentions.”
The Indian Army also said that they are committed to maintaining peace through dialogue, but they are equally strong to protect their territorial integrity.
At the same time, China has refused to retreat from its current military position north of Pangong So. At the same time China has strengthened its position between Finger-5 and 8 in Pangong So. While the PLA has refused to retreat to the occupied 8-kilometer area from Finger-4 to Finger-8 since early May.
Whereas India has asked China to completely withdraw its troops from Pangong Soo.
The Line of Actual Control in East Ladakh between the two countries has been deadlocked for almost four months. Despite success at many levels, there was no success and still the deadlock continues.
India has also come to know that the Chinese side has started the manufacture of army, artillery and ormar in the three regions of LAC – Western (Ladakh), Central (Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh) and Eastern (Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh).
Not only this, China has also gathered its troops near Lipulekhde of Uttarakhand, which is located in the Kalapani Valley between India, Nepal and China. India had urged China to withdraw troops from Pangong Lake and Gogra, which it has not yet accepted. Chinese soldiers are also present in Depsang.
China has changed positions on the LAC at various locations and is moving inward to Indian territory. India has objected to this and is taking up the matter at all levels.
Let it be said that earlier on 15 June, 20 Indian soldiers were killed in violent clashes in the Galvan Valley, while China has not reported its casualties.
