Beau. In Sahambhuganj police station area of Banka district of Bihar on Tuesday, four Sahelis who went to bathe in the canal died due to drowning in deep water. All the bodies have been recovered with the help of local divers. According to the police, in the morning, four girls from Ghaswari village had gone to bathe in Angia Dam near the village with Karma festival. Meanwhile, they all went into deep water and all four died due to drowning.
Umesh Kumar, station in-charge of Shambhuganj said that the dead have been identified as Sabita Kumari (10), Neelu Kumari (12), Neha Kumari (12) and Tapti Kumari (14).
He said that with the help of local divers, all the bodies have been taken out of the water and sent to the Sadar Hospital in Banka for post-mortem. The village has been mourning since the incident.
