Lucknow . AAP and Shiv Sena have demanded an inquiry into the circumstances in the death of late Uttar Pradesh minister Chetan Chauhan. Chauhan died on August 16 from Kovid-19. AAP MP Sanjay Singh has written a letter to the Police Commissioner of Lucknow demanding that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Medical Education Minister Suresh Khanna and SGPGI Director Dr. R.K. An FIR should be lodged against Dhiman for negligence in treatment.
Please tell that before being transferred to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, Chauhan was undergoing treatment at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI), Lucknow.
On the other hand, the state unit of Shiv Sena has demanded a CBI inquiry into the death of Chetan Chauhan. At the same time, the circumstances of transferring them from Lucknow to Gurugram have also been questioned.
A Shiv Sena delegation met Governor Anandiben Patel on Monday and submitted a memorandum in this regard. In its statement, the Shiv Sena said, “What were the circumstances that the late minister Chetan Chauhan had to shift from Lucknow’s SGPGI to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram? Does the government not trust a reputed institution like SGPGI?”
The statement further said, “The minister was hurt by the attitude of the doctors and staff of SGPGI. So far no action has been taken against the convicted doctors and staff. The government kept sleeping and two ministers succumbed to Kovid-19.” ”
Let me tell you that in the Legislative Council on Saturday, Samajwadi Party MLC Sunil Singh Sajan alleged that Chauhan’s death was not due to Kovid-19, but due to negligence in his treatment in SGPGI. Sajan, who was admitted in the same ward with Chauhan, said that Chauhan was abused by medical staff.
