Mumbai. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has refused to release Bihar’s IPS officer Vinay Tiwari even after the Patna Inspector General sent the letter. Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey gave this information via Twitter on Wednesday. DGP Pandey tweeted from his verified Twitter account, “Patna IG wrote a letter to BMC chief opposing quarantining of IPS Vinay Tiwari. Also requesting his release. BMC Has sent a reply to this letter to Patna Police. Now our SP Vinay Tiwari will be locked inside for 14 days. This decision of BMC is unfortunate! ”
Bihar DGP Pandey gave the task of investigating the case of the death of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput to IPS officer Vinay Tiwari. As soon as Tiwari reached Mumbai on Sunday, BMC quarantined him.
Earlier this week, Bihar DGP Pandey expressed displeasure over the non-cooperation of the Mumbai Police in the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. He had also claimed that IPS officer Vinay Tiwari was placed under house arrest in Mumbai on the pretext of quarantining him.
Pandey had alleged that the Mumbai police was “not cooperating” with the Bihar police and “speaking the language of actress Riya Chakraborty” in the investigation of the Bollywood actor’s alleged suicide case. Explain that Sushant’s family has held Riya responsible for his death.
Pandey said on Tuesday, “Mumbai police is ignoring Riya Chakraborty’s stand. She is saying that Bihar police cannot investigate the matter and Mumbai police is supporting her.”
