new Delhi. Five-star hotels serving as Kovid care centers in Delhi have been separated from the hospitals with which they were affiliated due to low bookings. The number of corona patients in Delhi has also steadily decreased due to which most of the beds are lying empty in hospitals. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, “Some hotels in Delhi were linked with various hospitals to increase the number of beds for corona patients in these hospitals. Corona situation in Delhi has improved. Also added to hospitals The beds in the hotels are empty. In view of this, it has been decided to separate the hotels from the hospitals. ”
After this decision taken by the Delhi government, there will be no more covid care centers in Delhi hotels. The hotels are free to operate under their old system. The Delhi government had linked seven different five-star hotels with various hospitals in Delhi for the treatment of corona virus.
Among the seven five-star hotels in Delhi where corona patients were being treated, Taj Mansingh Hotel near India Gate] ‘Pullman Hotel and Resort’ at Indira Gandhi Airport, Hotel Crowne Plaza at Okhla, Hotel Surya, New Delhi’s Hotel Surya, Rajendra Place includes Hotel Siddharth, Pusa Road Hotel Zindesh and Saket Hotel Sheraton.
The Ganga Ram Hospital had all the responsibility of providing treatment to the corona patients at the Taj Mansingh Hotel. It was decided to link the Pullman five-star hotel with Delhi’s Apollo Hospital.
Under this decision, five-star hotels were to provide rooms for treatment of corona patients. Necessary facilities such as housekeeping, meals for patients and disinfecting the hotel were also being arranged by the hotel.
Hotel Crowne Plaza was joined with Batra Hospital, Hotel Surya with Holy Family Hospital, Rajendra Place with Hotel Siddharth at BL Kapoor Hospital, Pusa Road at Hotel Jeevitesh at Ganga Ram and Saket at Hotel Sheraton at Max Hotel.
