New Delhi: A 27-year-old doctor from Delhi, who was fighting on the frontline in the fight against Coronavirus, died last Saturday. Dr. Joginder Chaudhary Kovid was working in the doctor Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital prescribed for the patients. On June 27, last year, he was reported to have been infected with the corona, since then he was in treatment. After nearly a month of war, Dr. Chaudhary lost to this terrible contagious disease.
He was earlier admitted to the government hospital Lok Nayak Hospital, but after his condition deteriorated, he was taken to Sri Gangaram Hospital. For his treatment here, his family was paid a bill of 3.4 lakhs. For his treatment, Baba Saheb Doctors Association collected a sum of 2.8 lakhs. At the same time, his farmer father wrote a letter to the hospital administration. The BSA Doctors Association also wrote a letter to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in this regard. After receiving the letter from the father, the hospital agreed to bear the entire expenses of the treatment of Dr. Joginder Chaudhary.
Dr. Chaudhary was from Singrauli in Madhya Pradesh and joined the Casualty Department of Ambedkar Hospital in November last year.
Last week, 42-year-old doctor Javed Ali, a doctor on contract, also died of coronavirus. He was associated with the National Health Mission of the Delhi government. His treatment lasted for about three weeks. Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain had announced a compensation of 1 crore to his family. In April itself, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced a compensation of 1 crore to the families of healthworkers who lost their lives fighting a coronavirus.
