New Delhi: Congress and CM Ashok Gehlot, facing the rebellion of Sachin Pilot and 18 MLAs with him in Rajasthan, have demanded the Governor to call an assembly session by giving a letter of support to 102 MLAs. Actually CM Ashok Gehlot wants to conduct the assembly session strength test. But there is no mention of floor test in the letter given to the Governor. But it may be during the session that the government issues a whip to pass a padding bill. In such a situation, new trouble may arise for Sachin Pilot and rebel MLAs. Either they vote in favor of the government or they face the change of law. But in the midst of all these speculations, the BSP, which is intent on handing over the Congress to each other at this time, has also issued a whip for its six MLAs who have joined the Congress and whose approval for the merger is also on behalf of the Speaker. Has been given However, a petition by BJP MLA Madan Dilawar against this merger has been given in the High Court.
The same BSP general secretary Satish Chandra Mishra has said that his party is a national party. Mishra said, “Paragraph 4 of the Tenth Schedule of the Constitution cannot merge at the state level without merging the entire party everywhere in the country.” If six MLAs vote against the party whip, they will be disqualified for membership of the assembly.
Now the challenge has also arisen in front of the Congress here because these MLAs are also included in the 102 MLAs whose support letter has been submitted by CM Gehlot. 101-MLA is needed for a majority in Rajasthan Assembly with 200 members. If these 6 MLAs of these BSP are removed, then the number remains 96. The matter which is to be heard in the High Court today will be in a single bench. But the way in which there is political mercury in Rajasthan, now it may go up to the top. Overall, CM Ashok Gehlot’s government still has to face many dangers and challenges.
One more thing to note here is that when the Congress was fighting for a majority after the assembly elections in Rajasthan, the BSP decided to support it. But the Congress later dealt a big blow to Mayawati by including these MLAs. Mayawati at that time called the Congress a fraud. It seems that the BSP does not want to miss the opportunity to avenge the betrayal of the Congress through this legal argument.
