Prayagraj Soil and water will be brought to Ayodhya from the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna and the legendary Saraswati rivers for the ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ of the proposed Ram temple on 5 August. According to Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) spokesperson Ashwani Mishra, “Former VHP president Ashok Singhal said that the holy water and soil from the Sangam should be used in the ‘Bhoomipujan’ of the temple in Ayodhya. Our leader soil and water Layne will go to Sangam. The names of those to be entrusted with this task will be announced soon. ”
He said that since many sages of Prayagraj played a major role in the Ram temple movement, celebrations would be organized in various ‘monasteries’ and temples on the day of ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ in Ayodhya.
Apart from this, the VHP will appeal to all Hindus to burn ‘Diyas’ and play saint shells in their homes on the evening of August 5 to celebrate the occasion.
A VHP spokesperson said, “We will celebrate this day like Diwali.”
Due to the epidemic, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirthkshetra Trust will limit the list of existing invitees. However the event will be telecast live so that lakhs of devotees can watch the event live.
