At the same time light rains are possible at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and light to moderate rains are possible at many places in Himachal Pradesh. In Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and North Rajasthan, there will be moderate rainfall in many places and heavy rainfall in one or two places. Rest of Rajasthan will receive light rain at some places.
The Meteorological Department has forecast thunderstorms with wind speeds of 20-40 kmph during the next 2 hours in areas around Kaithal, Karnal, Hisar, Jind, Narwana, Panipat, Kurukshetra, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Moradabad – There is a possibility of rain.
Showers rain for next two days
The weather forecast states that Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh may receive rain in the next two days and heavy and very heavy rainfall may occur at some places. After this the rain will decrease.
Delhiites will get relief from heat, strong winds will run

Rivers rain in Bihar, seven killed
North Bihar received heavy rainfall late on Sunday and Monday. Flooding in rivers has caused havoc in new areas. Water is flowing on the roads everywhere. During this period, seven people died in separate incidents in the state. The northern embankment of the Triveni Canal in Sikta, West Champaran, broke down, while the Chachri (made of bamboo) bridge over the Soni River was washed away in Madhubani’s Baburbahi. More than six raw houses collapsed. Five people died due to drowning of rivers in the district, while two people died and two others were injured due to falling house. Here, water has climbed on the railway track at Narkatiaganj. The Champaran embankment and the PD ring dam are also leaking. Flood waters have started spreading in the lower areas of East Champaran. Water has entered the low lying areas of the town of Bethan, Kalyanpur and Samastipur in Samastipur. The administration has issued a red alert in Sitamarhi. Water is also spreading in the lower areas of Shivahar. The situation is also critical in flood affected areas of Darbhanga and Muzaffarpur.
Fear of floods in six districts, Chief Minister alerts
Due to heavy rains in the catchment area of Nepal and Gandak river, the discharge of Gandak river is expected to increase drastically. Due to this, flood situation may occur in West Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali and Saran districts. The Chief Minister has directed the Disaster Management Department and all the District Collectors to remain fully alert about this. The Chief Minister has said that people living in the low lying areas of the Gandak river discharge should be evacuated and taken to higher and safer places. Administration should be fully prepared for rescue work.
Many districts received heavy rains for the third day in Punjab
It has been raining continuously in Punjab for three days. Many districts received heavy rains on Monday as well. According to Meteorological Department Chandigarh, the rain made Ferozepur water. It recorded 56 mm of rain in a few hours. Bathda also received 39.8 mm, Kapurthala 27.5 and Amritsar 12.8 mm. One in Chandigarh, eight in Ludhiana, 8.8 in Pathankot and 0.6 mm in Patiala were recorded. Not only this, in the districts where there was rain, the day temperature also declined. Day temperatures were two to four degrees Celsius below normal. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, Punjab may remain cloudy till July 24 and there is a possibility of rain. Strong winds can also occur for the next four days.
