Lucknow. Madhya Pradesh Governor Lal G. Tandon (85 years) died on Tuesday morning. He was admitted on ventilator in Medanta Lucknow for several days. Lalji Tandon was admitted to Medanta Hospital in the capital for many days. He breathed his last at 5:35 am. His son Municipal Development Minister Ashutosh Tandon gave information from the tweet. His condition was said to be critical on Monday. On this, a medical bulletin was also released by Medanta Hospital on Monday, in which it was said that his condition was critical.
Son Minister Ashutosh Tandon told that the last journey will leave for Gulala Ghat Chowk at four o’clock. The funeral will take place at 4:30 pm at Gulala Ghat in Lucknow. Due to the Corona disaster, he has appealed to the people to pay reverence to Babuji from their homes, following the guidelines set by the government, so that social distancing can be followed. President Ramnath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel have mourned his death. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan will visit his residence to pay tribute to Lalji Tandon.
On June 11, Governor Lal G. Tandon was admitted to Medanta Hospital after his condition deteriorated. On 13 June, the operation was carried out on stomach bleeding. He then moved on to the ventilator. If there was a slight improvement, two days were shifted to the by-pap machine. But then the condition worsened. The doctors shifted him back to the ventilator. After this he could not be able to breathe by himself. According to Medanta’s medical director, Dr. Rakesh Kapoor, the muscles of the governor were weakened. Therefore the lungs were unable to work for breathing. His dialysis was going on due to kidney function disturbances. He was suffering from liver disease. At 5:35 in the morning, he died due to cardiac arrest.
Tandon was admitted to the hospital on 11 June due to difficulty in breathing, fever and difficulty in urination. Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel has been given the additional charge of Madhya Pradesh due to the deteriorating health of Tandon. His body will go to the government bungalow at Triloknath Road at 9:30 am. The bungalow is allotted to his son Minister Ashutosh Tandon. At 12:00, his body will be laid at Sondhi Tola, the residence of the Chowk. At 4:30, his last rites will be performed at Gomati Beach Gulala Ghat.
Anandiben expressed grief by the governor
Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel has expressed deep grief over the demise of Shri Lalji Tandon, Governor of Madhya Pradesh. Governor Anandiben Patel has said in her condolence message that Lalji Tandon was a gentle, soft-spoken and land-connected person. He had a long experience of politics. Former Prime Minister himself became MP by winning elections from Lucknow seat of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and he did many development works in Lucknow. The governor said that Tandon’s death had caused an irreparable loss. The Governor has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the grieving families, wishing them goodwill to the departed soul.
Originally active in the politics of Uttar Pradesh, Tandon has also been a minister in the BJP governments of the state many times and was known as an ally of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He took charge of Vajpayee’s constituency Lucknow and was also elected to the 15th Lok Sabha from Lucknow. Lalji Tandon was made the Governor of Bihar in 2018. Subsequently in 2019, he was appointed as the Governor of Madhya Pradesh.

From 21 March 1997 to 8 March 2008 and from 3 May 2002 to 25 August 2003 he was
the Minister of Housing and Urban Development.
He won the Lok Sabha elections in the 2009 elections, but in the 2014 elections, the BJP
replaced Rajnath Singh as his candidate.
