Kathmandu The political upheaval in Nepal is very strong. Prime Minister of Nepal KP Oli is engaged in forming his government. Oli has been badly engulfed in his own party, the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) due to rhetoric against India. His party leaders are demanding his resignation. Party committee meetings have been held several times regarding this. At present, the meeting of the Nepal Communist Party’s Standing Committee was postponed once again on Friday for a week. But meanwhile, China’s interference in Nepal’s political situation is clearly seen. Ambassadors of China are constantly holding meetings between Nepal’s government and party leaders for reconciliation. There is protest in Nepal about this, but KP Oli is looking tough against India and soft towards China.
Meanwhile, in a report, it is being claimed that China has a special policy on Nepal, under which it is playing tricks. A report by Global Experience Analysis states that China uses corrupt leaders of economically weaker countries to infiltrate that country and Nepal is just such a case.
Allegations of corruption on KP Oli
The author of this report, Roland Jacquard, states that this policy not only enables Chinese companies to pursue their business interests in that country, but also gives China the opportunity to interfere in that country’s politics. The report alleged that the personal wealth of Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has increased over the years, which he has allegedly deposited abroad as the leader of the Communist Party of Nepal.
