The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Sunday announced to provide training to students and teachers on digital security, online work and augmented reality (AR) in partnership with Facebook. These training modules are for secondary school students. At the same time, its courses have now become available on the CBSE website.
Facebook said, “This course of online safety will cover security, privacy, mental health and Instagram’s guides to lay the foundation for healthy digital habits.”
This module is designed to give students the right guidance about becoming responsible digital users, identifying threats and harassment as well as misinformation.
The training provided by the Center for Social Research (CSR) will involve around 10,000 students.
In this regard, Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said, “I congratulate CBSE and Facebook for their partnership in launching certified programs related to digital security, online safety and augmented reality for teachers and students.”
10,000 teachers will be trained in the first phase, while in the second phase 30,000 students will undergo training.
